There are excellent 18 hole golf courses in the area :

Cognac Golf Club - 30 minutes drive

Par 72 18 hole championship course located on the banks of the river Charente is a  gently-sloping course which meanders through woods and vineyards.

Open 8 am - 8 pm high season May to September

8.30 to 6pm  low season October to April.  Closed Tuesday in low season.

Saintes Golf Club - 45 minutes drive

Par 68 18 hole 4971m. A wooded course and includes the remains of a Roman aqueduct.

Royan Golf Club - less than 60 minutes drive

Par 73 18 hole 5924m.  This is a beautiful course which winds through the pine forest of the Coubre along the Atlantic coast with views of the sea.  It is a superb course with natural dunes.  

Angouleme.Golf Club - 40 minutes drive

1Par 70 18 hole 5408m  A hilly and technical course situated in the heart of Angouleme, There are superb views of this ancient city.

Aubeterre Golf Club - 40 minutes drive

Par 32 9 hole (X2) 4022m ideal for golfers of all abilities.  Guests are welcome to join in regular friendly tournaments.  25% discount offer weekdays all year round.
