We offer B&B/Chambres d'Hotes/Table d'Hotes.

Special Five Night Short Breaks All inclusive holiday.

Situated in the tranquil hamlet of Le Tatre, 4 kms off the N10 route to the south, to Spain and Portugal, we are a convenient stop-off point half way from the Channel ports.  We are an ideal place from which to explore the beautiful French countryside or simply to relax.

The house, dating from the mid-nineteenth century, has been carefully restored to provide spacious and comfortable ensuite accommodation.   Across the lane from our large enclosed garden is a fishing lake and a tennis court.

Being at the southern most point of  the Poitou-Charentes we are on the borders of three departments making us an ideal location from which to discover the Charente Maritime, the Gironde and the Dordogne.  We are an excellent base for house-hunters.

We are surrounded by vineyards and local distilleries Our Special Interest Holidays,  which are tailored to suite individual requirements, include taking you to a vineyard chateau for wine-tasting, a visit to a local distillery, pre-arranged golf, cookery, painting with artist's tuition, fishing and horse-riding.  We can arrange walking  holidays. For those wishing to improve their french, tuition is available at a very small cost.

The rural green roads and cycle paths make this area a cyclists' paradise both for serious cyclists or families who just want to explore the rolling countryside and sleepy villages, a perfect area for people who do not do much cycling.  Along many of the routes you will find famous Cognac distilleries where you can stop off and taste the local aperitif, Pineau des Charentes (grape juice and Cognac).   The quiet roads and tracks through woodlands are idle for walkers and birdwatchers where the Hoopee, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite and Zettling Cisticole can all be seen in the area of Le Tatre .

An even warmer welcome is extended in winter in this centrally heated house with log fires and candlelit dinners.
